Operation Downfall (What-If Alternate History)

Operation Downfall or The Invasion of Japan would become the bloodstained military operation of the United States Military History compared to the landing on Normandy.

There would be a possibility that the Americans could have landed on the island of Kyushu, the Southern tip of Japan. And The Battle of the Island could have resulted from a Japanese Guerilla Warfare but the Americans would win the Island in a few months and many Deceive battles would be fought on the island to my expectations the Battles would be Kagoshima, Nagasaki, and Oita. The Japanese would continue battling this Island for Months making American Casualties on the Island could go even higher than those of the Japanese Imperial Army Estimations on both sides would be Enormous 230k or 300k

Bombings in Japan would dramatically increase during this Period and Japanese Civilian Casualties would go high.

And the Americans go on another landing on the Island of Shikoku and would land Possibly at the town of Muroto and a fierce battle would maintain between the Imperial Japanese Army and The Americans. The Japanese would bleed the American's sparing no Mercy and throwing everything they've got but they may be pushed back. And would begin a Devastating Guerilla Warfare and deadly Operations on the Island and American Forces and Japanese Forces would continue Fighting in 1946. Estimation Casualties would be 230,000 for Both Sides.

The Invasion of Mainland Japan would Begin with a Naval Bombardment and Air Bombarding Places like Hiroshima, Kyoto, Nara, Okayama, and others would be utterly devastated by the American Air and Naval Operations. Fearing for their Lives Japan would agree to surrender to the Allied Powers.
