What does fuck mean???

You guys are my only hope to answer my question because some of my classmates said fuck when they have bad grades or something bad happen to them, I question one of my classmate and he became mad at me, what?
Now I'm more confused with the word, they never answer me, I'm annoyed so answer my question for me I don't know what that means.
