Ok time for some backstory for Ray and liv
Ray: was captured by scientists because of his owl wings and gray skin when they experimented on him he would resist and that's how he has the scars on him from being abused, he escaped age 12( he is now 16) he got into the real world and disguised as a human for a long while until one day the scientists found him and revealed him, with his powers( telekinesis like El from stranger things) ended up killing the scientists and lived among the humans not disguised as a human
Liv: she had a weird birth defect that made her skin white no one judged her for it but she was insecure she had normal life and when she found out about Ray, she wanted to meet him they ended up going to the same school and they became friends
( she's now 15)
Now they are dating
(Ray is non-binary)
(Liv is bisexual)
