Battle of Quatre Bras (1815)

The Battle of Quatre Bras was the first Engagement of the Duke of Wellington against the French Army.

Napoleon starts his Campaign and in his Left Wing Marshal Ney titled “Bravest of the Brave” encountered the Duke of Wellington's unprepared Army and decided to Engage in a Battle in Quatre Bras. Wellington was preparing his Defence on 3 Farms in the Battle. Wellington received a Message from Marshal Blücher who promised Wellington that he will arrive with his Army soon.

Wellington prepared a Defensive against Marshal Ney's Professional Army. And Begun a Defensive Battle on Quatre Bras.

The Battle was a Major Victory for the French Army and Forced Wellington to Retreat towards Waterloo.
