alot of ppl I know actually call me mouse girl as an insult
when I was in like 5th grade, we lived in Cherokee, AL
I was teenee tini, and I loved animals and small creatures just as much as I do now
I woke up super early one morning cuz I couldn't sleep,as per usual, and I found a lil field mouse in our kitchen floor
he was rolling around on the floor, and even when I came near him he never stopped
soo, me being the stupid, worried child that I was, I picked up the bb mouse with my bear hands not worrying abt the germs and possible diseases it could give me if it bit me
he kept rolling around in my hands, so I called it down by petting it until it stopped and just sat there letting me pet it
there was no way in hell I was just gonna throw the little guy outside, and I was scared my family would kill it if they found it, so what did I do?
I took it to school with me
in the pocket of my big brown jacket
I kept him in my pocket almost all day, making sure he was ok, cuz I could tell he was in pain
thaaat is until lunch when someone ratted me out for having a mouse in my pocket
the teacher, being the "sensitive" person that she was made me throw it outside
as soon as I put it down and walked back to the glass door a bird had flown off with him
I cried for like an hour at school 🤦♀️
when I told my mom abt it she actually got onto me for NOT letting her help me
everyone at that school called me mouse girl until I left, and some online still call me that
they think it offends me or smth ig
