The Battle of Verdun is one of History's most deadliest and important battles. The Battle would eventually change the warfare on both the eastern front and western fronts.
Erick Von Falkenhayn the German Commander in Verdun planned to use the City to ‘Bleed France Dry’ but he failed to estimate how fierce the French Resistance was. The German Army assaulted the Fortress City of Verdun and began a battle that would decide everything. The Battle was a Strategic German Defeat and achieved minimal gains over Verdun.
