still have mine rn and in my experience when they put them on it’s not painful , just a bit uncomfortable as they have to stretch you mouth and such . i suggest eating a small snack before , brushing your teeth , and bringing some chapstick to put on before and after !

the pain from the braces being on will usually start tmmr - and for me it lasted for about 3ish days , but as long as you take tylenol or a pain medication , eat soft foods , and avoid clamping your jaw , it shouldn’t be too bad :)
ofc the pain is unavoidable , but i promise it’s not some unbearable type

+ i’m sure you’ll look great !! i had the same fear but honestly it’s like getting a new pair of glasses or hair cut , they’ll look a bit weird at first but in my opinion they look great on everyone !!

I think braces are super cute but if u wanna hide them ask for clear brackets or white brackets
