I clenched my rifle, my body drenched with small droplets of sweat, as i hear the water beating against the metal of the troop carrier. Everyone else looked down, melancholy air infesting us. I looked up, seeing the giant swastika of the glaring nazi flag, symbolising such evil. Death hung over me like a ticking clock, the fear just growing with every tick. The feeling stopped because of the metal screech of seashells scraping across the troop carrier floor. “TEN SECONDS!” the ominous blare of the captain bellowed. The nazi flag waved in the air, as if they had already won. The robust door screeched open.

Gunfire already erupted. The deafening tututututututu of gunfire filled my ears, invading my cochlea. I flashed towards cover, behind a wreck of a Luftwaffe plane. I heard a squelch as a severed arm flew beside the wreckage, the german armband still symbolising the wretched nazi power. I felt a jab against my back. It scraped my skin. It was a knife. I span around, and kicked my leg out, tripping him over as he dropped his weapon.

It was… A kid? I stared at the mortified child. He was no older than 16, why is he in the Nazi Forces? And also, Why didnt he fully stab me, Or why even a knife? I was questioning it mentally and heard a clank of something. A grenade… I scrambled as the grenade glared at us. The sound of the explosion came, and i heard a fuzzy blur. I was deaf. I looked behind me. It looked like the landscape looked like hell.. And where was the kid? I looked around, and saw a fragment of a skull. It was the kid. I then scrambled away, not noticing the white flag coming from the enemys base. We had won.

We claimed our base, moved in, and the rest was history.
