I need help plz

So i have a friend, we have been friends from first grade, and one time he said he had a crush me,
And I said “ok,“ we are still very good friends but I feel like things have never been the same, and yes later I asked if he meant it and he said he lied... Ok look it’s just I still don’t know how to feel about this, I just feel like we have never been the same, and I don’t wanna say anything bc I feel like I just wanna forget it, and it will be awkward. :(
(plz dont blame me I was only 4 / 5 years old at the time)
