I have an irrational phobia of needles

I hate it sm
I had to get my 2nd hpv vaccine yesterday and now my entire arm is throbbing QxQ

it didn't even hurt when I got it, that's not why I'm scared of needles, it's just the thought of a metal rod slipping under my skin and injecting me with a fluid that I personally can't identify, the feeling of it being pushed into the muscle is fucking horrible

it was so embarrassing when we went to the doctor bc they made me talk abt this stupid depression/anxiety test they always make me take when I go there, now they're referring me for counseling [[again]] and the asthma clinic [[again]]

I prbbly looked like a fuckin baby bc of the way I was panicking when they brought the needle into the room

I couldn't help it and now I feel pathetic ✨

my thing is, I always have nightmares abt needles, so I imagine them worse than they actually are, I think it's gonna take longer than they do, and I start to panic abt what they're putting in me and how deep it's gonna go

then the same thing happens ro me, I tense up and it sux
it's still not as bad as i expect tho

I don’t have a fear but I’m still scared because what are they injecting me with?! Is always my first thought thank I tense up and it hurts to get a flu shot

once I punched a nurse in the jaw and left a bruise, luckily I was 8 and she was a sweetheart so she didn't do anything abt it bc I apologized lmao
