While the RMS Queen Mary was praised, The Design of the Vessel was different from other Past Cunard Vessels but the SS Normandie was the Changer. While Both Vessels have the Same Speed and the RMS Queen Mary was beginning to prove widely popular with Passengers. It was widely felt that the SS Normandie was a more Stylish and Advanced Vessel compared to RMS Queen Mary. It was insisted by Sir Percy Bates that the New Ocean Liner would not be the same copy as RMS Queen Mary. The RMS Queen Mary was an Identical Ship to RMS Queen Elizabeth but the Vessels Design incorporated some minor improvements. RMS Queen Elizabeth was designed to have 12 Boilers, Which would allow the Ship to have Two Funnels instead of Three like the RMS Queen Mary. These changes gave the Vessel more Modern and less than Identical to RMS Queen Mary and like the SS Normandie, RMS Queen Elizabeth's Deck was mostly spacious than the French vessel. When Completed the RMS Queen Elizabeth was the Largest Passenger Vessel in the World, a record that would never be able to beat until 1996. The RMS Queen Elizabeth weighs about 83,673 Tons and has a Length of 1031 Feet and a Height of 118 Feet. The RMS Queen Elizabeth was 11 Feet Longer and 8,000 Tons Heavier than RMS Queen Mary. RMS Queen Elizabeth has 12 Boilers, propelled by 4 Parson single reduction geared steam turbines that would create 200,000 Horsepower and could carry 2,283 Passengers and 1,000 Crew. The Vessel's Transatlantic Speed was about 28.5 though the Vessel's Speed could compete with The RMS Queen Mary it was ordered that the two Vessels would not compete against each other for the Speed Record. The RMS Queen Elizabeth was launched on September 27, 1938, and was Christen by Queen Elizabeth II the Event was Broadcasted Live on the Radio and didn't quite do well as RMS Queen Mary. The Interior design of the Vessel was Designed by George Gray Warnham and Some of the Designs were Identical to RMS Queen Mary. On August 22, 1939, The RMS Queen Elizabeth's Maiden Voyage would take Place on April 24, 1940, but 12 Days Later. Britain Declared a Declaration of War on Germany after the Invasion of Poland. The Question of the Unfinished Vessel was becoming more Questionable, The Size of RMS Queen Elizabeth can be visible to Miles making the Vessel a Prime Target for the Luftwaffe. The Vessel was Painted Grey to Camouflage the Vessel. Winston Churchill, Then the First Lord of the Admiralty recognize the Strategic Importance of the Vessel, and a Secret Plan was quickly devised.
