RMS Queen Elizabeth | ‘Wartime Service’ | (3/6)

The RMS Queen Elizabeth was ordered to immediately sail to New York, The Untested Vessel's Speed was over 25 Knots, and the Escorting Warships were turned Down. RMS Queen Elizabeth arrived at New York Harbour on March 7, 1940, and the Vessel was docked beside the SS Normandie and the RMS Queen Mary. That's the only time that those Three Ships would see each other. The RMS Queen Elizabeth needed to be finished in the United States still Officially Neutral could not assist the Vessel's Conversion to a Troop Ship. After a Few Months, The Vessel sailed towards Singapore where it would be refitted and was fitted with Anti-Aircraft Guns. RMS Queen Elizabeth began its Service by Transporting Australian Soldiers to the European Front but as the Japanese Attacked Pearl Harbour on December 7th, The South Pacific was No Longer an Option and Australia needed Their Forces Back. The RMS Queen Elizabeth was refitted in British Columbia to be able to Carry more Troops and began the most Valuable Part of the Vessel's Wartime Career. Transporting American Troops to Europe the RMS Queen Mary could Carry an Incredible 15,000 in a Single Voyage, The Vessel's Speed would easily outrun the German U-Boats. These Voyages were so Crowded Soldiers would have to Share Beds. It's Quite Confusing to Overstate the RMS Queen Elizabeth and RMS Queen Mary's contribution to the Allied Wartime Effort. RMS Queen Elizabeth Carried about 750,000 Soldiers during the War and Traveled 500,000 throughout the War. The Vessels were so Valuable that Adolf Hitler offered a Bounty to those Vessel but Luckily Both Ocean Liners manage to Survive the War.
Winston Churchill even credited the Two Vessels for shortening the war for only a year.
