In March of 1946, The RMS Queen Elizabeth was returned to its owners to finally begin its intended career as an Ocean Liner. After Six Years of War, the Vessel's Luxurious fittings were finally installed and was able to complete its Sea Trials. The RMS Queen Elizabeth was adored amongst the Royals and during the Trials, Queen Elizabeth of Teck got the opportunity to control the vessel the Queen was joined by Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret. The RMS Queen Mary also finished its restoration as an Ocean Liner in 1947. The Two Vessels dominated the rest of the 1940s and the 1950s bringing massive profits for the Cunard Line which officially dropped White Star Line's name in 1947. This moment was the last Golden Age of Ocean Liners. Accommodations that were once designed for immigrants were now dominated by tourists. And Cunard Line set the standard for luxury and comfort and the Two Vessels we're deeply loved by Passengers and Crew over the years the RMS Queen Elizabeth had added a few modifications to keep the vessel more competitive with other countries.
