The Story of The MTS Oceanos (2/3)

The Oceanos weigh about 14,000 Tons with a maximum capacity of 550 Passengers and 220 Crew.
The Oceanos was not too Large and Not too small but simply an Average Vessel. The Route of the Oceanos was however quite Treacherous and that's why many cruise industries in South Africa has decided not to pursue the Route that The Oceanos has to face but however, in the late July 1991 the Oceanos was set to start it's Seven Night Cruise to Capetown, South Africa to Durran, South Africa the Captain of the Oceanos was Captain Yiannis Avranas an Officer for all over 20 Year's and the Man in charge of the delivering the vacationing passengers to safety to port. Though the Ship was Seaworthy Passengers describe the Oceanos as Rusted and not very well maintained.

On August 7th 1991, The Vessel made its last stop on East London, South Africa and the Vessel took on more passengers on a single night cruise and the Oceanos has almost completed it's entire course and on that afternoon the Winds had started to pick up and on offshore the Ocean has started to Begun picking up more extreme waves and In this part of Africa it is well known for its extreme weather and this ended up delaying the Oceanos for a few hours on that Afternoon the weather continued to get worsen but under the command of Captain Yiannis the Oceanos Lefted Port and set sailed despite the weather to get worsening with 571 People Onboard. Usually a sail away party would be held at Deck but due to the weather the Party was held inside. As Dusk Approaches Passengers made their way towards the dining room and by now the Oceanos had been facing 46 mph Winds and 30 Feet Waves and Passengers describe the scene on board as Chaotic as Plates and Glasses Shifting around their tables and staff struggling to give orders. The Waves was keeping the Oceanos Side to Side and was seemingly becoming more violently and meanwhile on the Bulkheads the scene unfolding would instantly change the fate of the Oceanos.
