Fist I would recommend making a power system two good examples are nen and Ki, inside of Dragonball Ki is a type of energy that is similar to your life force by gaining control of this you can create energy attacks and fly. Ki can also be sensed and hidden as for Ben is from Hunter X Hunter and sprouts into multiple abilities so is therefore more of an energy like Ki but with nen not only can you hide and show auras you also have things like enhancement and a signature move for you I think should be a melee to do with kicks or throwing
