Ok so i think it's really sweet how in the Asriel battle, he calls the protagonist, Frisk, the first humans name Chara. It is sad how Azzy never let go of his one and only friend. Chara was never really a bad person, they only just had hatrid towards humanity. I think?

A short artical explaining why Chara isn't evil idk

Chara's determination is what helps gets Frisk far in the Pacifist run.
Chara is the one who guided them.
Chara only hated humanity probably for their hatred towards monsters and the way they all live unhappily and in destruction, war, etc.
Chara was just laughing off the pain when Asgore was poisoned. Proof being that Undyne smiles on her last dying moments, Sans always smiles and jokes even though he is really depressed, Toriel gives a petty smile despite being murdered by a child who she attempted to protect, etc. So because she didn't want to suffer the pain, she laughed the pain away.
This one might be the most biggest hint to why people think Chara is evil. The end of the genocide route where 'she' murdered Flowey and erased the world. You see, Chara didn't want to kill Flowey because she had no real control. Frisk did. And the jumpscare is because Frisk doesn't want to erase so she is pissed off because of all of that, Frisk refuses to erase the world
