Dear Diary,                        November 20th, 1767
Well, I guess this diary writing is what I will do in my free time now. New taxes, so harsh it's forcing us into poverty.  It isn't easy to pay for things, now. I don't know the reason why they have the right to punish us, this is our country. My husband now works long hours with 3 jobs at a time to make the needed profit for living; we don't eat as much as we used to, we don't have the money. You might think the Soljers would leave us already, but no. When will it get easier?
