Castaways: new beginnings (pt.1)
ever since the orphanage shut down, Jessica, Rachel and Fernando have been sent to a new family to take care of them
with some doubt and guilt, they welcome the new parents to their life with open arms
somehow they took care of them just fine
they all started having a bond as a family together
all seemed fine but one day Jessica dissapeared
Rachel's the first to notice, as she starts the search for her fellow sister
eventually she found her near the garden, clenching her head and heart as if in pain
Rachel steps closer to her, wanting to know what's wrong
all of a sudden, Jessica stands up, looks at Rachel, and signals her to follow her
curious with what Jessica is up to, she decides to follow.
they walk around the town and see the abandoned orphanage
it's been months since they've seen it, seeing what it looked like now is kind of nostalgic, and sad
ever since all the mysterious suicides and murders, the government was forced to shut it down, taking many of the children it housed to new random families around the town
Jessica goes inside of the building, Rachel follows
they walk around until they see a nearby hall, and a door at the end of it
Jessica opens it, and wants Rachel to go first
Rachel does so, but sees something horrifying:
a dead body.
but it's not just another dead body, it's from another innocent child, and it's fresh
"JESSICA, WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS???", yelled Rachel at her sister
Jessica, nervous, replies, "im not sure if you still remember, but you and i know we had a curse that forced us to be happy" Rachel still confused starts listening
"back at the orphanage, when we still lice there to see the numerous bodies and incidents, we were the first to had this curse, to not feel guilt, forcing us to be happy, killing others, or to kill ourselves to make it stop
you still remember that, right?"
Rachel thinks for a second, then realizes what she meant
"i remember." Rachel replies "do you still have it?"
"i do. But i started having an idea to make sure this curse no longer effects us anymore
we could live normally for once
be genuinely happy without this place being our number 1 thought." Jessica says
"im listening, what do we do?"
"...we get someone else into this"
"WHAT?" Rachel steps back, shocked at the terrible idea, to bring another innocent child into this, to give them the curse and to let them live on with depression while they live happily
"WE CAN'T JUST GIVE IT TO SOMEONE ELSE! I DONT WANT TO SEE ANOTHER SUICIDE!"
"i know, but this is the only chance we got." Jessica reminds her, "that, or we just..." Jessica brings out a suprisingly clean, sharp knife
"...do this the easy way."
Rachel thinks, she doesnt want anyone to die, she doesnt want to leave her new family, and fernando, and she also doesnt want someone affected by their situation
after a few minutes she sighs, accepting her request
"we need to find someone we know" explains Jessica "someone who is related to the orphanage, maybe Ness?"
Rachel replies "no... he's been through a lot, same for his friend"
"what about quin? she could finally listen to us"
"she got arrested when the orphanage shut down, we can't just ask the police to let her out without a reason!"
"wait...LILAC!" Jessica realizes
"she's been wanting this 'demon' out of our souls, and Simon's
maybe she could do something?"
"i dont know...." Rachel worries "it's been awhile since we last saw her, i doubt she still lives around here-"
"we should try though, i just want this all to end" Rachel hesitantly agrees, knowing this idea could flop at any moment
they start their search, but they still have no idea whenever she really is gone, or somewhere near the town

it's been awhile since i had any relation with Ellie's story (i miss her), ever since she gave me Castaways i had no idea how to continue it, i just set it aside and left for other things
seeing it again made me think again, and i decided to give it a shot
if i should tweak something then let me know, i wanted to try and honor her, alive or not
