He is able to take care of himself, as a warrior cat apprentice he was bullied for his disability. He's learned to adapt to his non-hearing ears. The medicine cat before him, (Ferretwhisker) told him he could be great as a medicine cat. She taught him how to communicate by touch. Hareheart loves his clan and would die for them. But he hates going into battle, hence why he was relieved to become a medicine cat apprentice.
