It was only until 6th grade when they started teaching us about all the very terrible things that Christopher Columbus(the Spanish conquistador that founded North America and Mexico and claimed it for Spain in the 1400s, from the natives that lived there) did, like how he raped and pillaged and killed alot of innocent native american tribe members, invaded the whole country and destroyed the Aztec Empire(which I guess is kind of a good thing because the Aztecs terrorized and murdered alot of other tribes to death and invaded alot of them but still, alot of Innocents died in the process)
