Is it a bad thing if my classmates always ask to borrow my things out of all 36 people in my class and I never say no?

My mom said I'm letting them take advantage of my kindness and I need to learn to say no sometimes or have boundaries

Yes, it means they're taking advantage of you and if you keep doing it they'll eventually start asking you to do other things which are a bit more conspicuous. So just try to say no some times
