Hyacinth (My fav greek story)

So in greek mythology Hyacinth (the flower) actually has a person for it (my favorite flower probably ngl)
Its my favorite greek story 😭🤚

Hyacinth was a man so handsome he attracted two deities
Apollo The god of music and prophecies (and more lmao)
And Zephyrus the west wind
He would fly on Zephyrus’s back
While he would listen to apollo’s lovely music
Him and Apollo became very close (in some lore intimate)
Zephyrus knowing he had been overshadowed grew envious
One day while apollo and hyacinth were playing discus
As apollo threw it at high speeds hyacinth went to catch it but Zephyrus interfered with the wind blowing it out of trajectory as it crashed and ricocheted off the ground it hit Hyacinth right in the head with blood spattered everywhere as he passed away
Apollo ran over to him trying to save him using his powers but it was in vein and he passed away in apollo’s arms
Beautiful flowers began to grow everywhere that Hyacinth’s blood had spattered
Later calling these flower’s hyacinths

Apollo afterwards attributed , his most beautiful of songs but they were grief filled with melody
As spring came by again Hyacinth’s bloomed and apollo rejoiced 🥺🤚

The greeks gave no shits about sexuality, Age, or species
Which yeah its insane but i love greek mythology
