"toxic relationships" rant

i hate aoikane haters, especially the ones who think it's akane toxic only. No, it's not, go read the manga again?? Stop dumbing down characters into one type of trait, they are characters with backstories for a reason.

Is aoikane healthy, no! Of course not, it is not a healthy relationship and is full of miscommunication. Toxic, sure! On both sides, not just one. I think aoikane haters need to understand that Aoi is a flawed character. The one's that preach about "how Aoi hates perfection" etcetc is ignoring the fact Akane liked seing Aoi's perfect persona break. Akane did not see Aoi as perfect. Akane did not like her for being perfect, Akane likes her because she cried. Aoi is a flawed character and to baby her like this is to put her on a pedestal.

They are both unhealthy towards each other, yet they can still have some sort of normalcy. Despite everyone going "it's toxic!" It only seems like they have criticism when Akane kisses Aoi, which again, surely isn't the best way to kiss the love of your life but this one specific scene shouldn't be the only reason why "akane bad" "akane toxic" "aoiakane bad" you guys hate reading characters

yeah, I'm biased because I relate to Akane completely but oh my god, read the manga
