it can happen to anyone. no matter the gender, religion, culture, age, behavior, etc..
it. can. happen. to.
ANYONE.
"you're a boy, she's a girl. that isn't possible."
"they're christian! there's no way"
"they're a sweet person, they could never do that!"
"they never did it to me?"
"you're older than them though?"
"you probably only said no because you were nervous"

and the most frequent ones
"you were asking for it"
"serves you right"
"what clothes were you wearing?"
"men have their urges"
etc.

and for the victims
it isn't your fault.
it will never be.
you weren't asking for it.
it didn't matter what clothes you wore, or your/their behavior, your gender, etc
YOU DID NOT DESERVE THAT.
it took me so long to realize that for myself. i had accepted that i was in the wrong for a very long time.
please know that you are not alone. if you ever need someone to talk to, there'll be many people here for you. including me as a victim.

you can do this. you can get through it. do your absolute best.
you can heal.
