It’s just a kiss

The embrace of you and your cold lips. I shudder at my warmth being sucked away through a fleeting moment, you were never one to care for such acts of affection. Neither was I. My concept of genuine feelings melt into fuzzy memories back to when we’d never cross this line, a line I never wanted to exist between us. Knowing that this is done on a whim aches my heart more, will we ever truly be one? Such foolish thoughts when it’s just a kiss.
