they are nectivorous and also carnivores, they feed on blood and decaying meat, and are infectious, they store their blood in a stomach-like sac, and when squashed, the sac explodes and blood gushes out. They use blood as digestive acids and digest decaying meat with it. It is unknown how they use blood as a digestive enzyme.
