At spring they use their legs to sense snowleech nests and then they start to dig the exact spot where the snowleech nest is, snowleech nests contain a lot of cold and moisture, so they constantly flap their wings to mantain warmth and to dry off the moisture. Skryders mantain guard, after they dig to the main chamber of the nest, the skryder mantains locked into their prey, and when the moment strikes, The skryder pounces, mandibles wide open and when landing on their prey, will rip off and pierce through any exoskeleton and eat the prey alive.

At winter, if they fail to keep their bodies warm and dry, they get paralyzed, ice may coat the body, and at spring, they thaw.
