This is basically the setting
Just for clarity, there are 2 main storylines and 1 main antagonist(they're more antagonistic in the Absurdity Overload storyline)
Okay so the setting here is practically a multi-dimensional world, where obviously there are multiples dimensions marked by a shape(that can be pretty much anything) protected by barriers of specific colors, said dimensions are organized by color (red-ish shades go on one side, blue-ish shades go on the other..etc), in between dimensions, there are some sort of gaps, those gaps are also inhibited by creatures(if youre wondering how, they live in floating remains of broken dimensions, whether that be shards of the barrier or just simple ground) some of which are born there, and the others are dead people (basically, when someone dies, their souls leave their respective dimension and now resise in that void all while keeping their physical characteristics, they are not ghosts and can still interact physically.) if a living person (unless immortal) were to touch the void, the pressure would break the persons bones and they would die, if that happens the person would not have their soul staying in the void gap thing, if a person who already lives in the void wanted to interact with the dimensions while keeping their physical characteristics (not becoming ghosts/specters) theyll have to break the barrier and enter, the only way to break it is using another barrier(or god powers ig), barriers are heavy so youd have to rely on them crashing onto a dimension on their own (that said unless the creature who wants to interact with the dimensions is a dimension-shifting species), if a living person whos already in a dimension wants to travel to another dimension theyll need some magic key basically that opens a door of the respective color for the dimension you want to travel to, those doors are stored in your mind, (or in absurdity overload, beyond the door i guess),
Btw, the main dimensions here are the object dimension and the human dimension, and the void too,
