I think about them like this often, given that B1T3 can't technically die, and forever stays the same in his looks while his loved one grows old. He can easily be reworked and repaired, but Bomb can't. And after living on for years without her, he stays with her forever, and tries to join her. He's obsessed with being anything but a robot.
Maybe Canon, maybe not. The future can decide.
Inspired by the song "Worms" by vaigra boys or how ever you spell it, they really portray the feeling of loss in that song, and an existential crisis involving death.
