2. The First Blow

In a brutal beating, the first hit usually catches the victim off guard. This could be:

A punch to the jaw or nose (disorienting, possibly breaking bone or drawing blood)

A kick to the stomach (knocking the wind out)

A blunt object hitting the side or back of the head (can cause confusion or unconsciousness)

3. The Assault

Once the first blow lands, the attack often escalates quickly:
