The chatter poured into the halls as the bell rang . Shiori walked through the halls . “ yo ! Shiori , where ya going? The nerd convention?” Yelled one of the usual bullies . Shiori was known for her .,.. well , just being different. “ haha very funny Kai” she said . Kai , her usual bully, always giving her her a hard time , was gossiping to his friends. “ Shiori! What’s up ?” Said her best friend, kiyomi . “ not now kiyomi” . She said . Of course she was drained , and was just walking her bike . “ well today was awesome! I got an invite to kohanes birthday day ! You ?” Kiyomi said fast , like always . She jabs Shiori. “ shit ! I almost fell ! Stop kiyomi!” Yelled Shiori . Kiyomi’s face fell . “ well sorry , bookmark” kiyomi was rarely this mean . Shiori turned her head slowly towards kiyomi . “ what do you mean .why did you call me that ?” Shiori said . “ that’s what your name means , bookmark” kiyomi said . Shiori hops on her bike , as she rides home she stops for a smoothie . “ hey! Shiori ! What’s up?” Says her other best friend, tomoya . “ nothing that cool , smoothie break ?” She says . “ yea , for now .” he said . She took a sip of her smoothie and sighed “ what happened?” She said “ my crush rejected me , but not like normal , she made a big deal of it .” He said . He sounded sad .
