a TERRIBLE time for the dave and bambi fandom on spotify. ☹️
according to spotify and moldygh twitter, basically every dave and bambi song is expected to be removed at some point
(unless the sources were wrong, then only the orignal dave and bambi mod songs were completely wiped from spotify, but its still a large impact.)
i have twitter/x, but i barely use it and dont bother. i might finally go on it JUST to see what this is all about.
i know this may not be that big of a deal to those who dont use spotify, but i use it and its basically where i found out most dnb mods existed and listening to the muaic genuinely makes me happy. finding out potentially every dnb song could be wiped from the app just makes me feel hopeless. I might just desperately save every song inmy files somehow, which will take up a whole lot of space but at this point it may be my last resort and somewhat worth it,,
UPD: i checked twitter, and its luckily for a good reason. one i wasnt exactly aware of aswell. this is a quote from the official dnb twitter, posted 2 days ago as i was writing this (well it just turned monday but n o):
"Recently we have discovered that the CEO of Spotify is using music money to invest millions of dollars into AI war technology. We do not support this kind of thing, and as a result everything Dave and Bambi related will be removed from Spotify over the next few days.
If you're a listener, we recommend cancelling your Spotify subscriptions. If you're an artist, we recommend working on removing your music from the platform too. If you want to continue listening, we will still be up on Apple Music, YouTube, etc."
