mb, this is a lot of information. i hope it made sense—its bc my oc’s story has been going on for like . . . almost 2 years now and it’s crazy.

Lore: Somaint and Caliver had been childhood friends in secret and attempted to run away from their homes. They unfortunately were caught, and paid the price painfully. Demons and angels were never meant to collide, so their fathers agreed to remove their memories of each other . . . they’ve never been able to recollect them since. (Somaint’s wings were torn apart as a hefty price for going against his father, the King of Hell.)

Souls outside of their vessel (like Caliver) lose all their memory. However, the longer they remain alive, the more memories they regain. Souls are sensitive to their own emotions in reaction to these memories, and without a vessel to contain it, these souls eventually shift into phantoms. They are a dangerous entity that’s unable to control itself from violence . . . that’s why Somaint is tasked to execute these souls before they become a problem. If a soul remains a phantom long enough, they will eventually be killed by being unable to maintain such power. However, Somaint kept Caliver alive because his body had turned into a strange hybrid of a phantom after miraculously surviving his transformation (that’s why the edges of his hair turned black. Somaint wanted to experiment since this had never happened before in history . . . 🤍). But because Caliver still has no vessel and Somaint is keeping him alive, the more he will remember, and the more dangerous he becomes—thus his “Phantom Curse.” Although the talismen Somaint wrap Caliver around with don’t stop the curse, it at least keeps it contained. If they were ever to be removed, it would be life threatening even for the Prince of Hell.

🤍 - Souls surviving after their phantom form have never happened before. This is only because souls that wander are only human souls, Caliver was an exception because he is an angel. Ofc, he doesn’t remember that, and Somaint doesn’t know about it either.

okay anyway, hey guys!! its been a year 💀 yall dont know but i lwk visit time to time but i never post anything. it means a lot that you guys still check up on me wtf 😭 and its good to see some of you are still active and doing well
im doing better btw, i look back to my posts and see how much of a toll the whole situation had taken on me. gen, bc you guys have been looking after me, i can talk abt it now that im not bleeding from my guts like all my previous posts, but its also vry personal so ill eventually take it down (if i do talk abt it maybe). itll at least explain the mess my posts went through
