~Chapter 1~
It was a basic but moody afternoon, the weather wasn't that great. It was lightly raining and there were dark clouds surrounding the city. Emma was on her way home from getting food from her favorite place, when suddenly someone on their bike purposefully sped up beside her to splash a puddle of rain onto her.
"What the hell..?" she muttered to herself, not amused whatsoever. It turns out the individual riding the bike was Emmaismorbidlyobese, her worst enemy.
Emmaismorbidlyobese rode quickly ahead of her and disappeared as he travels downhill, laughing stupidly to himself because Emma was now soaked on the lower half of her body. She scoffs and takes off the green sweater wrapped around her waist, putting it on for coverage and warmth as she continues miserably walking home.

Emma finds a nearby bus stop, getting the idea to just take a bus home instead of walking all the way. She takes a seat, waiting, listening closely for any sign of a vehicle in the distance.
As she waits, there seems to be no sign of any sort of car or bus she can hear, the neighborhood being completely silent other than the occasional crunch of a leaf and the sound of quick rain tapping onto the ground.
It wasn't until 20 minutes had passed that she gets irritated and checks the time on her phone, realising she had sat waiting for the bus way longer than she'd expected. It turns out that there was no transportation set to go to that bus stop at this time, and she gets up and stomps away pissed off. Today wasn't a really good day for Emma, and the only sort of leisure time she had was when she was eating and the sun was still vaguely out.

It began to get dark, the clouds darkening the sky even more and a few stars starting to glisten. Emma wasn't sure if it was normally that dark for 9 PM, but she continued onwards nonetheless.
She always had a fear of walking outside, alone, during the cold nights. So, it wasn't much of a surprise when Emma was looking genuinely nervous as her eyes darted around the area, flinching when any sudden noise she hadn't expected was close by.
