girl so confusing is their song, i think it highlights a lot of mint's thoughts about carrot (and carrot's thoughts about mint)

i think mint is always a shallow character, only looking at surface level to avoid acknowledging the pain and trauma she went through before playdate; seeing everyone with surface level personalities to please her own idea of the world. obviously she never loved pepper for who she is, since the main reason why mint is attached to pepper is that "they have the same eyes, and look similar, therefore pepper may know how she feels." but pepper doesn't. pepper was never abused, pepper was never taken advantage of, pepper grew up in a loving and stable enviroment and it is just unfortunate that pepper managed to be near the wrong people (playdate cast.)

pepper & mint's whole relationship is built on fantasies and projection, and that is why it will ultimately never work. All the things mint does will be in vain; pepper can never understand mint.

on the other hand, carrot shares a few surprising simularities with mint (even when carrot becomes a victim to mint's rage.) Maybe it's the savior complex, maybe it's the martyrdom, but maybe there is compassion between the two if they both ever decide to talk out their feelings (which they won't in canon.) They both have secrets they want to hide from the world, they both don't want to seem vulnerable. And their newer outfits are supposed to make them seem a little bit more similar too; they're two sides of a coin. A slight nod to carrot's former personality before retconned; carrot was supposed to have yandere traits but I gave it all to mint. Thought it was funnier to go through with Carrot's initial concept (Scary face, dull personality) rather than his beta version (Soft eyes, possessive yandere.)

I may be biased just because I like drawing non canon ships and carmint is a huge one but i do think if mint ever decided to get mental treatment, her most stable relationship would've been with carrot.

Design changes;

Swapped out mint's outfit to have a V shaped neck; because Kenzie having a V neck didn't make sense/look right with his new hair... Added tights, similar changes will be made to cursor (love locker MC.)

Changed carrot's outfit completely; a little nod towards carrots requiring colder weather to grow. Is still wearing white T-shirt and black shorts, sweater is V neck to match with mint. Green socks because white on extra pale skin was horrid. Scarf is a little nod towards pepper's parents
