i dislike the fact that racism still exists.

even if people say racist things as a joke, it's still a horrible thing to say no matter what. you cannot blame it on your 'dark humour'.

these are two examples of horrible events caused by racism:

1. tulsa race massacre. (united states, 1921.)

in the greenwood district of tulsa, oklahoma (called “black wall street”), a prosperous black community was attacked by a white mob over two days (may 31–june 1). the mob killed many black residents, burned homes and businesses, and destroyed the community. this is an example of racism leading not just to discrimination but to mass destruction and loss of life & livelihoods.

2. herero and namaqua genocide (german south west africa ≈ namibia, 1904-1908)

german colonial forces, seeing indigenous herero and nama peoples as inferior, used extermination tactics: forced people into deserts, blocked water sources, sent survivors to camps, etc. around 80 % of the herero population were wiped out. this shows how racism (colonial idea of 'inferior people') turned into genocide.

although i gave two examples and they were from the past, this does not mean that it doesn't happen right now. racism can be directed to any race.
