Um so.. someone (a boy and older than me 😅) asked me to go to the movies with them

So yea.. hes in my P.E class and we started being friends for only 4 weeks and then he asked for my number I just thought that was normal and all. Then he wanted to call me... I did not feel comfortable with that! Because im not much of a caller unless its my bestfriends. So I just found excuses so I couldn't call him. Then he asked me to go to the movies with him. At first I thought it was just a friendly hang out but then I saw how he was with me! He was smiling a lot fidgeting and wanting to be beside me and talk with me alot ( i dont know if that shows he likes me but it felt like he did!). I observe alot so I know a lot! I wanted to tell him i didn't feel comfortable going with him.. but i was too nervous 😓 so I just texted him that my parents are kinda strict and that I couldn't go to the movies with him. Then things got awkward... today it was fine we talked like only once.. 🥲

Even if it feels awkward or even a little scary to tell someone no, if you aren’t comfortable that’s that. If they can’t understand that then that shows they aren’t someone you should probably have in your inner circle, I am glad you found a loophole to the whole thing but I wanna still emphasize it’s okay to be uncomfortable with someone, and it’s okay to say no even if its hard. I wish the best for you honestly but don’t let it bring you down!
