my cats been having seizures
and my dad said it has rabies (usually, he calls any strange behaviour in animals “rabies” but this time i might actually have to believe him)
i told him that if it has rabies we could give her a checkup in the vet
so if she actually has rabies they could put her down
but n o
“we cant do anything”
the vet is literally a 10 minute ride away
is he fr
genuinely whats with this guy and vets
me and my mom told him to bring the cat there so many times but he just wouldnt let us
and now hes endangering the family

rabies can cause seizures in cats, but it’s most likely to happen when the cat is in the furious stage of rabies. it should be clear if your cat has rabies or not. your cat may be having seizures from ingestion of toxic chemicals/materials or from infections/brain issues (which occurs mainly in older cats). other reasons for seizures could be liver disease, kidney failure, diabetes, or severe hypoglycemia. i don’t have ideas to actually help in getting your cat to a vet, but hopefully this helps anyway, gl.
