Blue drummed her fingers on the table. C’mon... show up. She was hoping not to to get stood up by her date (who she had talked to on Cinder before agreeing to a cup of coffee) like last time, god that was embarrassing. And then ghosted. She cringed at the thought.

Wait, was that her now? She had mentioned on her bio that she was a motorcycle driver, and Blue heard one pull up outside.

Sure enough, a tigress walked in. Woah, she was tall.. I mean, obviously she was tall. Alex was her name, right? Yeah, Alex was a tiger, a *big* cat, and Blue was just a cat. Blue didn’t understand why she was so surprised, she saw loads of animals bigger than herself on the daily.

Oh, right, she was getting distracted. ‘Hey, um, Alex.’ Blue spoke, trying to sound confident. The truth was that Alex was really quite attractive, and Blue was panicking slightly. ‘Afternoon. Blue, right?’ Blue nodded, and the tiger stuck out a paw. She shook it and smiled.

Both of them sat down and ordered drinks, and Alex was the first to talk. ‘So, uh, what do you like to do for fun?’ Blue wasn’t sure what to say.
‘I, um, uh, draw, and I can, uh, rollerskate...?’ She felt her face heat up with embarrassment. C’mon, Blue, keep your cool! ‘Oh, nice. I can’t skate to save my life!’ She let out a chuckle and Blue laughed a little too. ‘I’m a mechanic - it’s my passion, I love fixing bikes and cars and stuff.’
‘Oh, wow! I’d love to be an artist, but right now I’m stuck working in retail.’ Alex began to laugh again. Blue didn’t really get what was funny, but she joined in anyway.

‘I, uhm, live in an apartment with my younger brother. I look after him, uh, myself.’ Blue said, attempting to flex and seem cooler. ‘Huh. I would never be able to do that, it’s really admirable.’ Alex responded, looking off into the distance. Blue blushed. ‘Aw, you think so?’
The tigress nodded before speaking. ‘Yeah - I live with 2 roommates and I can barely put up with them, and they can look after themselves!’ Both of them chuckled a bit more before talking about other general stuff.

The drinks arrived soon enough, and they drank their coffee and talked for about an hour or so. There wasn’t really anything there, they decided, but exchanged numbers anyway, since Blue and Alex still wanted to be friends. Alex paid so that was nice. Blue left first, ready to get home and sleep. It had been a pretty good day, despite nothing blossoming between the two of them.
