Omg I love her!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍 Also don't you just love it when a random person on here attacks your age and your choice to draw on an art app literally made for everyone? 👀🤣😂 Stop gatekeeping and saying this is a "kid's app" cause it’s not 🚫 It's an ART app rated for ages 12+ for the regular app and 17+ for the pro version. I am so open about my age online because literally all I use this app for is drawing content for my TikTok account. Plus it's not anyone's business "why" I draw on this app. Am I not free to be an artist and draw the way I want or...? 👀 lol Also this person assumed that I don't have any other art styles besides my comic style that I draw more frequently in. And they think I’m 30 years old and don’t “know” about more advanced apps and software than AnimeMaker? 👀💀 Welp...guess you assumed wrong 🤷🏽♀️ Before I stumbled across AnimeMaker in mid January of this year, clearly I used other software/apps since I’ve been drawing a LONG time 🤣 I mean I have art profiles everywhere online that are public for the world to see. You can see my evolution and growth as an artist from my DeviantArt days. And saying that my comic style doesn't look like how a 30 year old would draw is actually pretty ignorant. 😂😭💀 All of your favorite mainstream animators who make Steven Universe, Craig of the Creek, and Gumball are all artists around my age or even older and yet they choose to draw in a more cartoon-like style. But since I was inspired by anime all my life, my style is more on the anime side. Plus I make my own published manga series on WEBTOONS and Tapas as well so that's another reason I frequently choose my comic style over my paint style (since the paint one is obviously more complex to draw in). My comic style is also more cute and fun. I enjoy both of my art styles though. I've come a long way since childhood and I'm proud of all my accomplishments as an artist. Also there are 40 year olds who choose to draw stick figures as their style choice (or can't even draw one for that matter😂🤣) So trying to say someone doesn't draw the way they think someone of that age group should is pretty ridiculous in my opinion. 💀 I just find it a little annoying that sometimes kids (or even teens) question my use of an app when it's not an app made specifically for kids. I use FlipaClip for animations and Clip Studio Paint Pro (to make my comic series) but it doesn't mean I'm not allowed to use and try other ones. I've seen this "gatekeeping" thing often. Even on TikTok. Kids try to claim all of these apps as theirs but here's the reality check. Adults use social media too and are FREE to use whatever they want. Just because you see a whole bunch of kids using certain apps doesn't mean they are supposed to either. There are plenty of underage users everywhere but that is on the parents. At the end of the day I’m gonna continue to draw on what I want and how I want 😌👍🏽💜 If you think it’s “weird” that an artist simply is just dabbling in other apps to draw in then that’s a PERSONAL problem. It doesn’t matter if there are advanced ones or not. Clearly I knew about them before I came here lol It’s not like I started my art game on this app. No I’m very experienced. Doesn’t mean I have to refrain from trying new things to draw with. Cause that’s all I’m doing. Drawing. And yet people think it’s ok to just come at you because they see you as “too old” to use something. Man I’ll never be too old to draw 😂✍🏽 Most people my age lose their childhood passions and imagination but here I am...an established comic artist working on animating her own anime series one day. It’s an accomplishment that artists finally start reaching when they get my age. I’m clearly right where I need to be 🤩😊😌 Hopefully YOU maintain the same artistic spirit when you get to be my age. But don’t be surprised if you lose it 🤷🏽♀️ Being an adult is hard sometimes and being a popular artist online only makes it even harder. There is a lot of pressure. Maybe instead of attacking me and my art, you could probably learn a thing or two about drawing and how to deal with popularity when you start becoming a famous artist. People just love to be so negative to others and disguise it as “advice” or “criticism”. BUT you can’t criticize me only based on one app cause clearly I make a comic series that is far more detailed than the “quick” effortless animations I make on AnimeMaker. People keep bringing up shading and lighting but I do all of those things already for my series. It’s not like I don’t know how to do them. When I animate though, most of the time I make a conscious choice not to add those elements for now because I’m mostly just focused on improving movements. Once I progress with that, then I’ll started adding more and more detail as I go. I mean I am trying to animate my own anime series right? Lol I’m allowed to take baby steps until I get there. 😊 Yea there’s a method to my artistic madness 🤪✍🏽✨ But yea it’s annoying to get criticism on things you already know how to do or ALWAYS do outside of this app for that matter. I’m already experienced and continue to improve as an artist everyday. Just because you don’t personally see me shading my animations doesn’t mean I never shade when I draw. My whole manga is actually shaded and my readers appreciate the art style very much 😁👍🏽 So before you go criticizing people and assuming they need to “improve” in places, make sure you know their whole art portfolio first. Cause then maybe you would realize just because they draw one way on an app, it doesn’t mean that’s the ONLY way they draw. 😌✍🏽 Of course, I’m open to criticism as an artist. I mean I’ve been criticized (and even cyber bullied) for years as a digital artist and it just comes with the territory. But I want constructive criticism that is actually useful. Not stuff that I already do and people just didn’t know. Cause then that’s just counterproductive 🙄 But yea rant over! 😆👌🏽Lol Just needed to get that off my chest.
