The human brain doesn’t fully form until you’re 25. You don’t even know how to properly handle your emotions yet. You don’t know what love is, you only ever loved the feeling of it. And loving the feeling is a lot different than loving a person. Because when you’re young, lust will feel like love. Just ask yourself that do you love the person, or do you love the feeling?
