Th Troubles was a conflict not many (in the us) don’t know about even though it was violent

I will tell you about the Troubles. The troubles was indeed In the 1960’s and still happens today but not as violent. The IRA stands for Irish Republican Army. They fought to keep the Brits out because the Brits were taking Northern Ireland and claiming it as apart of Britain. So, a bunch of Irish people banded together, got weapons, and attacked British forces. The biggest battle was Bloody Friday where a large portion of the IRA and the British armed forces clashed. Many people say the IRA were terrorists, while the rest say they are freedom fighters. The IRA tried there very best to not kill any civilians and would even call people and tell them to not go to certain places while the British did not care. Sooo, I support the IRA. Who do you support?
