I knew a boy who liked to draw,
He drew pictures that nobody saw.
He was the most artistic late at night,
In the bathroom, out of sight.
He kept a secret noone knew,
He didn't tell a soul and his gallery grew.
His drawings were different, no paper or pen,
But needed a bandage now and again.
We stood by the river under the stars,
He rolled up his sleeves and showed me his scars.
He felt embarrassed and stared at his shoe,
Then I rolled up my sleeves and whispered, "I draw too"

You are amazing
You are phenomenal
You are worth it
You are perfect
You are strong
I am not.
_________
You used to be good friends
You haven't seen her in a while
She seems like such a happy girl
But don't be fooled by the smile
You two were like sisters
But that day changed it all
She never looked back
And now she put up her wall
She got everyone convinced
But the happy face she wore
It all changed soon
As she walks through that door
You knew all her secrets
But her scars are beyond repair
She can't tell anyone
Does anybody even care
Everyone thinks she's okay
Poor girl, her face has lied
But it will all end now
It's scary what a smile can hide

Dear Mom and Dad,
I'm sorry I can't be the perfect daughter.
I'm sorry I can't control my emotions.
I'm sorry I avoid responsibility.
I'm sorry I disrespect you.
I'm sorry I can't deal with you anymore.
I'm sorry you love everyone more than me.
I'm sorry my grades aren't enough.
I'm sorry I stress you out.
I'm sorry I push you away.
I'm sorry about how I behave.
I'm sorry I'm not enough
I'm sorry.
