It's a way for them to vent out their frustrations or struggles, in my perspective, I see that it helps them clear out their mind and stuff. They might be also seeking help and attention to see that people do care for them. It's okay that you don't care about their problems, it's none of your business to begin with, but understand that some people just may not have any other option. Cheers! 🥂
