Also here’s a little head-canon about it(you don’t have to accept it)
It scavenges, it dosent hunt. It’s deer like body type makes it difficult to jump up and tear at it’s prey. So instead it finds dead animals(not much of a preference) using its clawed hoofs to tear through the rotting meat.
