Shading, lineart should be a self ambitious skill. A tutorial can help with lineart, but I mainly use still photo references. Videos should help with general ideas, like shading

I haven't used iOS in a year, but I can still help a little if you need advice on coloring in general. I have an old render tutorial up when I used to use iOS (@osborn how to render style 1)

Coloring seems a tad bit difficult since I assume you are using iOS... i used to have that issue often when I had iOS, i would just use bucket tool for base only, good luck

I would generally keep using 2px, though. As long as you can clean up lines, it should be fine
