Once in like 3rd grade, I told this kid in my class that my cousins lived in Alabama and he proceeded to rant about incest for a solid 15 minutes. I obtained a fear of my cousins which lasted a whole two months 😃
All of this or none of this could work for you and that’s ok but I’d give everything a couple weeks and I’m sure you’ll see a difference thanks to at least one thing. You’re loved. You’re loved for many reasons and by many people. Remember that. Don’t give up when it gets hard but don’t let yourself brush off your feelings. Feel better soon ❤️❤️
First off, I’d find a safe food and or comfort food that you know you’ll eat regardless of how you’re feeling
Second, try to identify the times of day (if any) that your thoughts are the worst. Then at that time try FaceTiming a friend, or going to watch TV with a sibling or parent, ect. I know especially for me, loneliness is the thing that triggers my depressive episodes
Third, find a quote to live by. I know this sounds dumb but it WORKS. Mine is “The best revenge is a life well lived.” And when I’m deep in my thoughts, saying my quote to myself is a big motivator
Fourth, I know many people dislike exercise but even something as easy as going on a walk helps SO MUCH. It scientifically raises your mood, gives you better sleep, and increases your appetite.
