Today’s topic is over how forgiveness works. Clearly it’s inspired by a recent issue, but I wanted to delve into the deeper connotations a “forgiveness” holds ε-(´・｀)

Let’s go over the basics. A person can only apologize to the person(s) they affected ε-(•́ω•̀๑)

If someone calls someone else a slur, can another person tell them it’s okay and forgive them? No. If someone harms someone else, can another person tell them it’s okay and forgive them? No. If someone tells someone else how to live their life and shames them, can another person tell them it’s okay and forgive them? No. ( ˊଳˋ_)

You can’t forgive someone who didn’t do anything to you!

This should be common knowledge. You don’t get to dictate if someone changed or is forgiven in a situation you don’t know about or aren’t a part of Σ(''ω''ｏ)

Last tidbit, you shouldn’t *ask* people if you should “apologize” and you shouldn’t make a public post about it if the situation is a public one. You should go to the people personally instead since making a post about it only adds other people’s opinions and if everyone else sees it, they can then judge the person if they don’t forgive them ( °_° )

I do want to bring up my own apology I made in the past that was public as an example. Though I should have went to this person directly, I didn’t want to hide what I did and instead wanted to tell everyone what I had done and then apologize. It felt like I would be hiding what I did had I not let everyone know of it if they already didn’t know (╭☞•́⍛•̀)╭☞

Apologizing publicly in response to a drama seems insincere and just comes off as damage control. Especially if you lied about already apologizing (つω-｀)

Edit - Response to Abdel's apology: I do not forgive you. I feel what you did in the past to me doesn't compare to what you've done to others, but I still can't think of you without getting disgusted and upset. From attacking me for my OC designs, harassing me for my DNI on multiple alts, using me as "examples" when attacking others and in posts, and getting mad at me for rejecting you, I still feel I've experienced the least horror from you. I was already around 17 at that time, so I know how high and mighty being older can feel, but you have to remember, you went after a minor. Even as someone who feels they are soft at heart and give in easily, I will not and probably will never forgive you. My only advice is stop making posts begging for pity and forgiveness and go directly to Corn and Cali and apologize. If you want to make up for it (which seemingly is impossible for what you did), go to them and apologize and take what they dish out to you. Or leave them alone if that's what they ask. Regardless, it is what I ask, so please keep my name off your page and comments ( 　'-' )ノ💥)`-' )

(I also feel the apology's english is smoother, so I assume it was written by someone else. Regardless, it means nothing if you don't go to the people directly, silly willy ʅ(´◔‿ゝ◔`)ʃ)
