Why has trick or treating turned into a “kids thing”?

Please someone tell me why it’s not cool anymore.
I’m sad because of this. I like dressing up in my dragon costume and getting candy. I’m now 15 and suddenly it’s “too weird” or “cringy”.

Cool! I wish I could make my own costume, all the ones I see online look so bad. All I can do is combine bits and pieces of the few good ones. There’s barely any respect for Halloween costumes these days
