2 is the original design
but i feel like his head looks too big and empty without these grey eyelids
idk if i should make him a solid monster or just a fluid little black void
the second one would be funnier though lol

1 fits lots with your artstyle, and,
making it a ink blot helps alot,
it can shift to other shapes as a ink thing, and gives more potential and ideas, jaja.
but, really, decide what you want
